The pilot and series episodes all take place on the same day that a family is preparing for a wedding that they are having at their home.

The pilot was shot at a location in Pasadena and then when it went to series we duplicated the house and it’s backyard on a sound stage at Sony Studios. The idea was to have a set that could flow from the family room, kitchen and through the house to the backyard effortlessly.

Additional sets such as the Basement, Master Bedroom, Connecting Bath between two Bedrooms and Swing sets were built on adjacent stages. One episode required a Strip Mall with Parking Lot for a Strip Joint and a Tuxedo Rental Shop that was built at the studio in a parking lot.
