On a plane flight from Hawaii to Los Angeles hundreds of snakes are released from the cargo hold in mid flight. Seems simple enough, release hundreds of snakes on a sound stage where you build an entire 747 mockup, including the cockpit, cargo hold, galleys, avionics, mechanical systems and crawl spaces, then roll cameras.

A scraped 747 was purchased in Mojave California then cut apart saving only the elements necessary to build the previous mention sets. Seats were salvaged and reupholstered. Window panels were saved and then resurfaced. Hatches, doors, cargo doors and pieces of the air frame were carefully cut and the fitted into our set pieces.

Because scenes required a breakaway staircase between the first class upper deck and the main cabin the entire 747 interior was built as a two story set.

Additional 747 set pieces were built as seperate set pieces that were eventually installed on a motion base that was constructed by the special effects crew.

The cockpit also required for an access to the avionics bay which also required the set to be built as a two story set. The entire structure was then placed on a smaller motion base with a green screen cyclorama.

Many of the smaller scenes were set on stage for scheduling purposes which required the construction of the Flight Tower at LAX; an FBI office; the Snake Lab and an Interrogation Room.
